As we head into the final month of the semester it is
important to remember that as graduate students, we are all in this
together. Whether you are in the MBA
program (like me), the Master of Social Work program, or even the Doctor of
Physical Therapy program we are all striving to earn our degree. A degree that represents an opportunity to
better our lives and the lives of our families through education. It does not matter if you just started the
program or you are walking in May, we all need to look out for each other. If you see a friend struggling to think of an
idea for their research paper, help them brainstorm. If you see someone in your class studying for
a the final you both have in a couple weeks, offer to study together. Even if you just see someone who looks like
they have pulled an all-nighter to finish a project, offer some words of
encouragement or buy them a coffee. The
Grad Lounge is a great place to link up with your fellow grad students to work
together or even plan an activity to get a much needed break. As a grad student you are never alone because
we are all in this together so it’s time we start lending a helping hand.
A great song that embodies this sentiment is "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers. Take a listen below!
